I bet ya’ll never tried a dessert like this chunky, sweet, and soft cookie with honey delight. Surprisingly, it’s really easy to prepare and impossible to get it wrong. This dessert is a special Hungarian snack, and there are a couple ways to make it. I believe the chocolate coating is the most heavenly.

Ingredients (makes 28)
- 1/4 cups butter (60 g)
- 1/2 cup honey (80 g)
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup almond milk (70 ml)
- 2 tsp baking powder (4 g)
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp clove
- a tiny bit of salt
- 2 cups of oat flour (440g)
For the chocolate coating
- 1/8 chocolate chips (25g)
- 1/8 cup almond milk (35 ml)
- 1 tsp honey (for slightly sticky texture)
Instructions
- Melt the butter and mix it with the honey then add the eggs and the milk (we used almond milk but it works with other kinds of milk alternatives or whole milk and sour cream works just as well).
- Add the seasonings (you can alternate the seasonings with a ready gingerbread seasoning) to the mixture and the baking powder as well
- Lastly add the flour and knead it in a dough
- Make equal sized balls and gently press it but not too much. We want it to stay soft and enjoyable.
- Bake for 20 minutes on 350°F till the tops of the cookies break.
- Dip the top of the cookies in the chocolate coating.
- Enjoy! 🙂
