My favorite diet compatible dessert

I started a diet some weeks ago and it allows around 17 grams of carbs for a snack. I like this diet because this way I can make sure that I do not eat more than necessary. This recipe is also gluten and sugar-free if you use a certified gluten-free oat flour and pretty delicious, and quick to bake.

Ingredients: (for 1 portion, it can be duplicated)

  • 17g (0.6oz) oat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 spoons of almond milk
  • 10g (0.35oz) protein powder, any flavor, my fave is vanilla
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 drop of lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the egg white, set aside.
  2. Mix the oat flour with the egg yolk, and the almond milk, and the protein powder, add the lemon juice and salt and baking soda.
  3. Add the egg white carefully to the dough.
  4. Pour the dough, and flatten the dough on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake it for 10 minutes on 375°F (190°C).
  6. Enjoy!

IMPORTANT: If you have celiac disease, only use oat flour that is certified gluten-free.
