Best Gluten-Free Gingerbread Recipe for Christmas

I have to say that this gingerbread is better than the one with gluten. It’s soft and healthy and it does not contain sugar except for the sugar in honey. You do not have to set it aside for hours, because after mixing the ingredients up, it’s ready to bake. We believe that it is not necessary to buy a special gingerbread spice mix, just check the recipe below what spices we usually use.

Ingredients:

  • 140 g (4.9 oz) honey
  • 130 g (4.5 oz) butter
  • 45 ml (1.5 fl oz) milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 75 g (2.6 oz) gluten-free oat flour
  • 200 g (7 oz) all purpose flour gluten-free flour
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) rice flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • spices: ground cinnamon (2 teaspoons), ground cardamom (0.5 teaspoon), ground nutmeg (3 pinches), ground cloves (0.5 teaspoon)

Preparation:

  1. Put the ingredients in a bowl, start with the liquid ingredients (honey, milk, eggs and the melted butter).
  2. Add the different types of flour.
  3. When ready, flatten the dough and cut them with gingerbread cutters.
  4. Place them on a cooking sheet pan and place them in the oven for maximum 10 minutes on 350°F. Be careful, they can be burnt easily.
